最近下了一个冰风溪谷2来玩玩,但是玩到一半总会跳出一个框然后结束上面写"An Assertion failed in CStore.cpp at line number 200" 不知道各位前辈有没有遇到过类似问题 看看怎么解决 谢谢[y:4]
The first thing to do in an assertion error is to open your IWD2 directory and delete the contents of the "cache" subfolder.
If that doesn't work then...
I believe CStore.cpp is related to container items. So drop behind all your bags of holding, scroll cases, gem bags... etc, and see if you still get the error message. If not, find out which container is the culprit and see if you can live without it.
Good luck.
(As for the quicksave error, if it happens again, save on a new file, then delete the quicksave. Restart IWD2, load your game and use quicksave as normal).
that seems to be working, got rid of one gem bag and the crashes appear to have stopped. Fingers crossed.

Icewind Dale II is buggy. Some bugs are easy to live with, some can be fixed, and some just make you want to scream. I'm posting this in the hope that it'll help some poor fella that'll come across the same problem in the future, and that said fella won't be obligated to go gallivanting through Argentinian archived Yahoo discussion groups in order to find a solution (and no, they didn't help).
There are areas in IWD II where the game crashes either with no error, or with an error of the sort "Assertion failed in CStore.cpp at line number 200". I got exactly this error in the Hrothgar's Vale area at the beginning of Chapter 5. A random time after I entered said area, the game inavriably crashed to the desktop. Now, liking the game and not wanting to skip any part of it, and being a computer-type person, there was no way I was gonna let this go. So here's what I tried in order to fix the error / get around it. The solution that worked is presented at the end.
My computer: Asus M6800N laptop, Intel Centrino 1.5 GHz, Ati Mobility Radeon 9700, 2GB RAM.
Stuff I tried:
installed the latest (2.1) patch for IWD II (http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/IWD2/index_misc.php)
installed the unoficial slowdown patch (http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/IWD2/index_editors.php)
installed the unofficial high resolution mod (http://www.gibberlings3.net/widescreen/)
removed all patches in an attempt to restore the game to a pristine state
reinstalled the game from scratch
went into aforementioned area without several items that were mentioned as possible problem causers (Bag of Holding, Potion Bag, Scroll Case, Gem Bag, so all containers essentially)
ran the game with (n choose k) permutations of resolution, bit depth, full screen on/off and number of active monitors (I have an external screen)
ran the game with all settings to default
ran the game with all settings to minimum
ran the game with all settings to maximum
updated the video card drivers to the latest version available from Asus' website (from 2004 or something, because for some reason the normal Ati drivers don't work for me and Asus can't be bothered to update their drivers from the Stone Age iteration)
changed video drivers with the latest Omega drivers for Ati cards
So, after doing all this and failing I just decided to screw the sophisticated approaches. I installed Windows on a virtual machine, copied the savegames, completed the area without ANY HITCH WHATSOEVER, on a freakin' emulated S3 Trio of all things, then copied the save games back. Worked like a charm. By the way, Microsoft Virtual PC wins over VMWare by not making you fill in 1 billion forms before you can download something.
If anyone else had this problem (I'm pretty sure it has to do with my video card) and found another solution, do feel free to share.
