He does not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. This essentially means that he adds half his level to the level of some other spellcasting class the character has, then determines spells per day, spells known, and caster level accordingly. Magical Lore: At 1st level, a hedge wizard gains the ability to identify magic items, as the spell, as an extraordinary ability. He may do this once per day per level. [/font][/color][/size]

Use Magic Item: A hedge wizard gains insight into the very nature and use of magic items. At 2nd level, the hedge wizard gains access to the use magic item skill as a class skill. In addition, he adds his level to any skill check. [/font][/color][/size]
